It was VERY easy to make, which is why I love crock pot recipes!</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;"> I substituted the swiss cheese the recipe calls for with Mozzarella cheese because my husband isn't a fan of swiss. I also used cream of chicken soup as opposed to mushroom soup because I don't care for mushrooms, and it turned out great. It turned out really good, and made the house smell great while it was cooking! I will definitely make this again, my family loved it! </div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSJ4QMiVFVRypsFThJ7vSy6xuSW7vDg3TEP0NMirxVQOAfjGmoOmhlBkg80ubheckowblBejoavyi6LxaspL6vfC_jnLH5gzH_7QyvAM4HvAEgtHTgm0RjUVmIUaFMua-URvt9-V572Q4/s1600/Chicken+and+Stuffing.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="236" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSJ4QMiVFVRypsFThJ7vSy6xuSW7vDg3TEP0NMirxVQOAfjGmoOmhlBkg80ubheckowblBejoavyi6LxaspL6vfC_jnLH5gzH_7QyvAM4HvAEgtHTgm0RjUVmIUaFMua-URvt9-V572Q4/s320/Chicken+and+Stuffing.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
--4 boneless chicken breasts (frozen or thawed, either works.)<br />
--4 slices swiss cheese<br />
--1 can cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)<br />
--Splash of milk.<br />
--1 box of Stove Top stuffing.<br />
--Half stick of butter.<br />
<br />
Okay, this one is a cake walk. You just gotta build it. Put chicken breasts on bottom, slice of cheese on each piece. Thin out the cream of chicken a bit with some milk, pour that over chicken & cheese. Then put the dry stuffing on top, and finish it off with a few pats of butter. Cook on low until the chicken is done, which will be about 5 hours.Unknownhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15356529103959339275noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787533011057824846.post-16977418037285382422011-11-27T18:16:00.000-08:002011-11-27T18:17:06.194-08:00Grilled Cheese and Avocado Sandwiches<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">I honestly don't know why it never occurred to me to try and make grilled cheese sandwiches a little tastier. I've always just done the standard American cheese and sometimes added ham. Well I am a huge lover of avocado. If it has avocado on it, or in it... I'm sold. I found this picture on pinterest and wanted to try it. </div><br />

<div style="text-align: center;">My version was with honey wheat bread, avocado, mozerella cheese and instead of pepperoni which was used above mine had tomato. The result? Very tasty and very easy to make :)</div><br />

I made Crispy Cheddar Chicken. Basically it is chicken breast cut into pieces, dipped in milk, cheese, crushed ritz crackers, then baked. Over the top, once complete, you pour a mixture of cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and butter. </div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">The chicken breasts I bought were huge. Cutting them into three chunks like the recipe called for didn't really work for me. I had more pieces of chicken, which was fine because the ingredients (milk, cheese, crackers) were more than enough.</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="text-align: center;">I don't have a food processor, so I resorted to just crushing the ritz crackers in the sleeves themselves and that worked fine. Here is a picture of what the chicken looked like, before baking.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggj0M632VZpDtdDCztEdZfmWT51FDc9HezjfOOgSS3XWVTcmXVHVSt1hxChZ8vbTtsVCqFSN7gswCpV8UTMouyrWn9osW0yDz52bv1Yv6h74EX_J3Wij8EEtG_LsiILvAQKcZVjG11GGg/s1600/November+19+2011+010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggj0M632VZpDtdDCztEdZfmWT51FDc9HezjfOOgSS3XWVTcmXVHVSt1hxChZ8vbTtsVCqFSN7gswCpV8UTMouyrWn9osW0yDz52bv1Yv6h74EX_J3Wij8EEtG_LsiILvAQKcZVjG11GGg/s400/November+19+2011+010.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">The recipe says to cover the pan with foil and bake for 35 minutes, then to remove the foil and bake for another 10. I don't know if it was because my chicken breasts were so thick, but it took a lot longer for this to bake than 45 minutes. It was closer to 75 minutes for me. I ended up leaving the foil off, and raising the heat 50 degrees for the additional 30 minutes. This did the trick. Here is what it looked like after baking.</div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2odzezBsjbxieWEO5ppZdl6Yj37xAZvGqY79RDkxWVeIlCSEXCRKC8j6xZnsAmlc4YRx25KuD2J55HKnyFOtEVqpaqd1kLkffA0gB-gDJStH-qCHtyRP0TRRLUiA2MAOJSI_8NTSIYiI/s1600/November+19+2011+012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj2odzezBsjbxieWEO5ppZdl6Yj37xAZvGqY79RDkxWVeIlCSEXCRKC8j6xZnsAmlc4YRx25KuD2J55HKnyFOtEVqpaqd1kLkffA0gB-gDJStH-qCHtyRP0TRRLUiA2MAOJSI_8NTSIYiI/s400/November+19+2011+012.JPG" width="400" /></a></div><br />
<div style="text-align: center;">All in all, the chicken was very good. My 5 year old will only eat chicken nuggets or spaghettios (which drives me nuts) so I couldn't get her to try it, but my 9 year old loved it. My husband liked it, and said he would eat it again. It will be a great recipe to add to the collection to make again some time. Here is a picture below with the sauce poured over the top. </div><br />
